All bachelor’s programmes at UMEF are strictly compatible with the Bologna Process and are thus an ECTS (European Credit Transfer System), with a minimum duration of 3 years (i.e. 6 semesters) and maximum duration of 5 years on condition of acceptance by the management. To graduate, students need to have acquired 180 ECTS credits through courses and either an internship or a dissertation. Thus, students will be easily mobile among other campuses or institutions. UMEF has two enrolments per year, in October and March. But it should be noted that UMEF has the right to modify the precise dates. To be admitted to the programme, candidates must have obtained an end of secondary school certificates, such as a Swiss maturity, French baccalaureate, British A-levels, or other diplomas judged to be equivalent.

Bachelor of Law

At UMEF Geneva, the three-year law degree programme provides you with a balance of theory and practice. Through your studies, you will acquire an understanding of the key areas of law and will develop a broad range of knowledge, skills and values in areas such as legal research, problem-solving and oral and written communication. Moreover, our course will help you understand and promote the ethical standards of the legal profession and appreciate international and indigenous perspectives. This program offers a top-flight education in the field of constitutional law, family law, Swiss and European institutions system, jurisprudence, administrative law, commercial law, banking law, immigration law & policy, international human rights law, conflict of laws, European Union law and managerial skills. Further, it enhances the students’ thinking, reasoning and expressive abilities within the legal and related contexts, leading to employment in the legal profession, law reform agencies, public service or other relevant areas.
