Application Procedure

Admission for studies at UMEF is done through a selection process and submission of an application file containing:

  • The completed application form
  • supporting documentation (as listed on the application form)
  • a letter of motivation.

Applications must include payment of the non-refundable registration fee of 150 CHF. Selected candidates will be requested to attend an interview as part of the admissions process. For applicants from outside Switzerland, a Skype interview can be arranged.

UMEF only considers completed application files. Candidates for this programme must submit the following documents:

  • Copy of official certificate of the GCE ‘A’ Level / Maturité / Matura / International Baccalaureate or its equivalent
  • Copies of all transcripts
  • An application form for admission, duly completed and signed
  • A test result showing a strong command of written and spoken English (IELTS or TOEFL)
  • A Curriculum Vitae
  • A copy of the candidate’s passport or identity card
  • Four recent passport photos
  • A letter of motivation highlighting the candidate’s interest in the programme and why the candidate believes UMEF is the right University for him/her

Candidates for this programme must submit the following documents:

  • A copy of an Undergraduate Certificate from a recognized university or equivalent
  • An application form for admission, duly completed and signed
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
  • A Curriculum Vitae duly signed and dated
  • A copy of the student’s Passport
  • A copy of an Undergraduate Degree from a recognised university or equivalent institution
  • Copies of all transcripts
  • An application form for admission, duly completed and signed
  • Strong command of written and spoken English evidenced by an IELTS or TOEFL result (or equivalent)
  • A Curriculum Vitae
  • A copy of the candidate’s passport or identity card
  • Three recent passport photos
  • A list of any published work (if applicable)
  • A letter of motivation highlighting the candidate’s interest in the programme and why the candidate believes UMEF is the right University for him/her.

An interview with a Professor or the Dean of Faculty

Candidates for these programmes must submit the following documents:

  • A copy of a Postgraduate and Undergraduate degree from a recognized university or equivalent, the certificates should not be below Second class degree or equivalent
  • Copies of all transcripts
  • An application form for admission, duly completed and signed
  • IELTS certificate with all components not bellow 6.5 (or equivalent English language qualification)
  • Evidence of a minimum of five years’ work experience
  • A Curriculum Vitae
  • A copy of the candidate’s passport or identity card
  • Three recent passport photos
  • A list of all published work
  • A letter of motivation highlighting the candidate’s interest in the programme and why the candidate believes UMEF is the right University for him/her
